A central point here is the expansion of the equipment for the open MoBiLE groups, which meet regularly. The PC meeting in particular, where visitors receive support in using digital devices, will benefit from new Apple hardware in future. As many participants use Apple products and come with specific questions, such a device will enable the mentors to solve common problems clearly using the existing projector on the first floor of the Klosterhof. This means that several people seeking advice can benefit from the explanations at the same time.
MoBiLE is also planning to purchase a permanently installed projector for the Luise Speidel room on the upper floor of the Klosterhof. This will be used in five language groups to support conversation and to plan tours for the walking, city and e-bike groups. In the language groups, current press releases from politics, business and society will be discussed in English, French, Spanish and Italian in a low-threshold manner. The visual presentation of these articles will facilitate the discussions and at the same time reduce the costly use of photocopies in the interests of sustainability. With these acquisitions, MoBiLE aims to further strengthen volunteer engagement and better manage the organizational challenges of the groups.
The new technical aids are intended to make MoBiLE's diverse offerings even better organized and more efficient. “We want to make volunteer work easier and promote communication within our groups. That's why we are all the more pleased about the generous donation from Lechler, which will enable us to further improve our services,” says Christa Stoll, treasurer of MobiLE.
