1879 – 2019: Lechler celebrates 140th anniversary

Europe's number 1 in nozzle technology is celebrating its 140th anniversary this year. Since Lechler was founded in 1879, the company has developed into a global player that still has its roots in Metzingen.

Lechler celebrates 140th anniversary

Around 350 employees at the headquarters and about the same number in the 14 international subsidiaries make Lechler the second largest nozzle manufacturer in the world today.

Lechler: Spray technology with precision

Wherever liquids are to be sprayed or atomized in a defined form, Lechler nozzles are used - e.g. in the food and beverage industry, chemical industry, steel industry, Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS) or agriculture. Environmental protection plays an increasingly important role. Lechler nozzles, for example, ensure clean exhaust gases on ships, contribute to the reduction of C02 in steel production or avoid unnecessary consumption of pesticides in agriculture.

Investing in the future

With numerous investments at the headquarters in Metzingen, but also at the subsidiaries, Lechler sets the course for a successful future of the company. In Metzingen, planning is currently underway for a new logistics centre, which is to be completed at the beginning of 2021. Lechler is currently expanding its production capacities in China and India in order to meet the demand on the Asian market.

With the Lechler Foundation, which supports numerous charitable and social projects in the Neckar-Alb region and beyond, Lechler GmbH is also living up to its social responsibility. Already the company founder Paul Lechler introduced the so-called "tithe" as a social contribution at that time, which is still valid at Lechler today.

At the beginning of July, the 140th anniversary was celebrated with a cheerful celebration for all employees and their families on the company premises in Metzingen. In addition to an entertaining supporting programme with music, children's programme and street art, many anecdotes from the company's long history were exchanged at the buffet.
