Lechler honored twice with EIMA Mention Award 2022

The winning models of this year's EIMA 2022 technical innovation contest were presented at Palazzo Re Enzo in Bologna on October 5th. Among the total of 62 innovations receiving awards were the Lechler XDT and VR agricultural nozzle. At EIMA (November 9 – 13, 2022), these nozzles will be exhibited in the Quadriportico in the center of the exhibition centre.

At each EIMA FederUnacoma sponsors a competition to award prizes that enhance the value of innovative products presented by manufacturers of the sector at the service of agriculture and horticulture, more avant-garde in terms of manufacturing quality, safety and environmental sustainability.

The two award-winning agricultural nozzles that Lechler has in its product portfolio since 2022 are the

  • VR liquid fertilizer nozzle with variable flow rate and extremely uniform lateral distribution covering up to five ISO nozzle sizes. The jury considers the innovation here in the specific design of the nozzle and its closure system made of spring steel plate. Its advantages lie in the larger flow range with improved accuracy and improved uniformity of the droplet dimensions over the pressure range.
  • XDT twin flat spray nozzle as an extremely drift-reducing twin flat spray nozzle over the entire pressure range with a symmetrical twin flat spray with 40°/40° to the front/rear. According to the jury, the solution is here of having a double flat fan of 130° with coarse to ultra-coarse droplet size which was not available on the market before. It is also suitable for Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) since it's not based on Venturi effect. The reduced environmental impact is the main advantage of the XDT nozzle.
