New Lechler products for liquid fertilizer application

Exact, uniform and precise all the way to the edges. This is exactly how fertilizer distribution should be, even at large working widths and in unfavorable wind conditions. Liquid fertilizers are appropriate here because they can be applied precisely all the way up to the edges without any losses of effect occurring as a result of these peripheral areas being under fertilized. Liquid fertilizer is mainly applied using nozzles during the early stages of crop development.

The new FS nozzle series rounds off Lechler’s range of liquid fertilizer nozzles. It comprises a multi-orifice nozzle with optimized cross distribution that outperforms competing products. The 7° spray deflection achieved by the FS nozzles reduces the jet force, protecting the crops even at high application rates. The dosing orifice on the FS nozzle can be removed without tools, enabling it to be cleaned easily in the event of soiling.

The ten nozzle sizes available (015 to 15) are made of POM and are all ISO color-coded. A patent has been filed for the asymmetrical spray formation. The FS nozzles are suitable for use on all conventional types of boom. Assembly is performed using a union nut with a width across flats of 10.

In addition to its FS nozzle series, Lechler has also extended and optimized its product range for the efficient delivery of liquid fertilizer in other areas. Dosing orifices with ISO color coding are now available for Lechler’s 5S and 5SL hose drop systems, making it easier for farmers to choose and identify suitable dosing orifices. The hose drop systems can now also be optionally fitted with a safety clamp to better protect them against loss.

The proven FD range of liquid fertilizer nozzles has been extended to include nozzle size -02 to allow liquid fertilizer to be applied in even smaller quantities.
